a. Watch it! Yesterday, I stopped for gas at the Pemex near the H hospital in San Jose. Asked for, received 500 pesos of reg. and paid 500 p. The attendant then turned, showing me a 50 peso note and pointed at the 500 on the pump. WRONG BUCKO! I did not have any 50’s.. He backed down. Next time I will gladly accept the return of “MY” 50 and just drive away! Don’t mess with old guys! CGP La Ribera

a. Correction. March 15th not April! The Revolving Door will be playing on Friday night March 15th at LaPLaya restaurant on the beach. Music will start at 7:00… Come on out and catch one of the last performances of this year by Los Barriles’ favorite band… Dancing will be encouraged!!!
b. Tio Pablo’s 28th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Fiesta! – Sunday, March 17th, After 5pm
FREE TEQUILA SHOOTERS! (Yes, they will be green!) Massive corned beef & cabbage dinner with Irish potatoes. $10.95 IRISH MUSIC & FUN
c. Please join us at Smokey’s for our 11th Annual St. Paddy’s Day Massacre! It will be an all-day affair starting at 11:00. Food and drink specials include Mulligan Stew and Rueben Sandwiches, along with Bloody Massacre Mary’s, Kiwi Margaritas and Mojitos. Better still, we will welcome not one but two bands! Big Jim and the Revolving Door will kick off the evening festivities at 5:00, and the Why’s, with special vocal guest, Leslie Hernandez, will close out the night. Reservations are highly recommended. We hope to see you at Smokey’s this St. Paddy’s Day!
d. Guild High School Scholarship monthly meeting 11am La Playa. Stay for lunch if you’d like. All are welcome. We send qualified kids to high school. High school is not free in Mexico!
