Rules
- Offshore tournament will be for Marlin blue/black (adults only). Shore fishing tournament will be for any species on the beach and will have 2 age categories: children and adults.
- Offshore tournament is open to any type of boat.
- Minimum weights: Marlin 150 pounds.
- Registration costs will be $2,000 pesos per boat, maximum 4 people. Shore fishing: free for children under 12 years old, $150 pesos for adults.
- Requirements to register: current fishing license for all offshore anglers and registration payment.
- Registration will be July 12 from 2:00-7:00 pm at the bar in Hotel Rancho Buena Vista.
- There will be a mandatory anglers’ meeting at 6:00.
- There will be one day of fishing: July 13. ALL participants must leave from Hotel Rancho Buena Vista beach.
- Offshore shotgun start will be at 7:00am, lines out of the water at 3:00 pm, scale will close at 4:00 pm. Shore fishing is from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- Prizes will be awarded starting at 5:00 pm at the beach, same Hotel.
- Offshore prize money:
80% will be awarded to the first place – Marlín
Shore fishing prize money:
Children – Surprise prizes - Adult 1st place:$1,000 pesos and 50% of total registration money collected.
2nd place: $500 pesos and 30% of total registration money collected.
3th place: $250 pesos and 20% of total registration money collected.
