b. The San Jose airport arrival area is off limits for private arrival pick ups. It is best to direct arriving guests to go to the departures level on floor 2 to be picked up curb side at Door 4, the most southern doors on this level. With luggage, use the elevator which is to the right of the arrivals door just after clearing customs and before departing the large terminal doors. Without luggage there are stairs to ascend to the second floor/departures level.
