a. 13 March 2020–East Cape Health Center continues to monitor the coronavirus
(COVID-19) situation closely. The health and safety of our clients and
employees remain our top priority. Our staff is already trained to OSHA
and other standards with respect to workplace health and safety. As
such, our current operations already implements many of the
measures recommended by government and public health agencies in
response to coronavirus. We are, however, implementing additional
measures in response to coronavirus.
These additional measures include:
• Regularly disinfecting our clinics and pharmacy and office
spaces with high-grade disinfecting cleaner meeting government
guidelines.
• Increasing accessibility of hand sanitizers for clients and
employees at multiple stations in the medical /dental clinics and
pharmacy.
• Increasing regular deep cleanings of our clinics and pharmacy.
• Ensuring our employees have the information they need to stay
healthy or stay home if they feel unwell.
• Decreasing the risk for clients to employees by using masks and
gloves.
• Closely monitoring a variety of sources for the latest updates and
recommendations for managing this situation.
• We take pride in our integrity of knowing how to manage
suspicious patients so we do not offend anyone seeking medic
b. Sadly, the Feeding the Hungry Fashion Show committee has decided to postpone the show scheduled for March 20 at La Playa Restaurant in Los Barriles. There is concern in our community, as elsewhere around the world, that we stop large public gatherings for the time being. Even though the Corona Virus is not evident in BCS, we felt we should act on the side of caution and hold off on having the show until next November or December. We hope you understand. If you have bought a ticket and would like a refund, please go back to where you bought it with ticket in hand by March 20th to receive a full refund. If you’d like to make your ticket a donation to the Feeding the Hungry Funds, just hang onto your ticket and we’ll use the money to help those who need it the most.
