Notice:   A Message from the Book Store.  We have decided to proceed with the book sale on Friday 3/20/2020.  We can’t think of a time when having a good book to read would be more important then now when many are experiencing stress and anxiety.  In addition, your book purchases go directly to support the Spay/Neuter efforts in our community and we believe disrupting the flow of those funds would have far reaching consequences for our entire community.  Still, we want to keep everyone as safe as possible so are asking you to abide by the following guidelines.
1.  Please spray your hands with sanitizer provided before entering the book store.
2.  No more than two people in the store at once, 6 ft. apart.  Same applies to outside tables and boxes with books I will set up.
3.  Please stay 6 feet away from the entrance to the store or any other patron.
4.  Place your payment into a basket that will be on the table.  No change in coins will be given.
5.  PLEASE bring small denominations of paper money so that the exact purchase amount can be placed in the basket. I will make paper change should you not have the exact amount but would love to hold that down to a minimum.

Starlink by Space X (an Elon Musk company) is about to launch a new
global wireless internet system using some 10,000+ low earth orbit
satellites.  The low orbit will reduce latency (delay) which is a common
problem in older satellite internet systems.  Starlink internet speeds
are also greater than other space based systems. The user platforms will
be somewhat mobile, requiring a flat dish receiver the size of a pizza
box.  Best guess pricing is $80 per month.  Starlink hopes to be

b.  Almost every single car rental agency in the U.S. is now represented at the Los Cabos airport, and all you have to do is go online and Google “Car rentals Los Cabos Airport” and you can pretty much take your pick. Make SURE that you get the international link. You WILL NOT want to rent without at least liability insurance, but you will be pressured to get full coverage, and it’s not a bad idea, considering you will be held accountable for any damage regardless of fault, but while you might get the daily car rental for $8 or $10, the insurance could be $20 to $40 a day more!!! Weekly rates are cheaper, and make sure you shop the various agencies, since those that have a physical structure at the airport are more expensive than those that have a shuttle to an off-airport office. Make sure you inspect the vehicle with the agent before you drive off and make sure that all damage, including windshield chips, are noted on the inspection sheet. Bill

b.  Capsforcancerbaja just visited the Rehabilitation Center CRIT  in La Paz. It caters to over 600 children and their families. It is a state of the art facility. We as a group donated and distributed caps, blankets, scarves and ponchos to the children at this amazing facility. If you have even one ball of yarn to donate to us we will make more caps. We also distributed a very large donation of bedding, household goods and a TV to Groupo Reto ( for the women with Cancer). Thank you so much to the donors of these goods. The women will be thrilled to open the bags of goodies. Thirdly we made a visit to Casa Cuna and donated full tubs  of handmade caps, blankets and ponchos for the orphans.
