a. Quick update on our local PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) project: Our team of Mexican seamstresses continue to earn money sewing masks, thanks to the generous donations from community members. We use the money raised to pay their salaries and to purchase high quality fabric and elastic.
The need to wear masks continues, and our goal is that everyone in our community who needs a mask has access to a nice comfortable one! East Cape Health Center continues to be our main distribution point for giving away the masks. b. **Important News** The Los Barriles Food Bank From Monday 20 July we will be starting deliveries EVERY OTHER WEEK. So that means you will receive your rations on Monday 20, Tuesday 21 and Thursday 23 July. After that, the next delivery will be Monday 3 August, Tuesday 4 and Thursday 6 August. You will receive a bigger ration box. As the summer progresses, we have fewer and fewer vehicles and volunteers so we are making these essential changes to the delivery system. Soon you will be asked to pick up your rations from a location – please watch out for announcements. For questions, please visit the office at the Los Barriles Food Bank Headquarters (the old Joe’s Deli).
