  1. July 3, 2021  S.N.A.P. Update: Congratulations, S.N.A.P. has met its goal of fixing over 400 pets since January 1 to July 1, 2021.  It has been 17 months since our last public spay and neuter clinic, yet we have managed to fix over 1000 pets during this Covid pandemic period.  Thank you Dr. Cristobal for working with us preforming all of these sterilizations, even when we would show up with our little rented bus bringing in up to 25 pets each trip.  We thank all of you for your generous donations covering our Veterinary fees and your support making it possible for us to provide this much needed FREE service to all dogs and cats in our Mexican communities.  No More Unwanted Puppies and Kitties, PLEASE.  Thank you Everyone. – kathyp1210@yahoo.com

On behalf of Joel and his family we would like to thank everyone who has donated funds, food and clothing to assist them during this very difficult time due to Joel’s major injury.  He is doing well but his recovery will be a very long one.  Thanks to Joe’s group at the Food Bank for their contribution.   6. East Cape Health Center Announcement :  To all of our visitors and residents living in the East Cape, Barriles in particular. We are noticing an extremely rapid outbreak of positive covid cases in town. I know the news is on the streets but I want to caution everyone to go back to the simple things we learned in the beginning: Wear masks, wash hands frequently and keep a distance. Hopefully with business closures coming soon we can all take pause and reconsider our activities, relationships, friendships and family. This variant is spreading very rapidly because it is highly contagious. If one person tests + then all those around should also be tested. Similar symptoms come with this variant, muscle aches, chest tightness, headache. We have lowered our price of the tests at East Cape Health Center in hopes of a good turnout of peopler testing, just for peace of mind if nothing else.
