DISCUSSIONS – ANSWERS – ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1.   Wyze Cam is now offering their motion activated Wyze Cam v3 that is indoor/outdoor with an optional spot light.  The camera records to an internal micro SD card as well as optional web based recording.  The system can be set up for real time notifications.  Wyze now offers a spot light that attaches to the camera and illuminates on motion.  You can access the video recordings from anywhere you have internet access.  My personal theory, if you need 4 cameras, setup 6.  WiFi is still 20% voodoo and some will fail.   $50 for the camera and spotlight.  32 GB Micro SD cards are under $10.  Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095NWYQBC/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_V9XBDTRVPSB4A2YV8RBT My alternate camera choice is the Nest Cameras from Google.  Those are in the $200 range and require a fee for web based recording.  The Nest Cams have great resolution but require a data connection with substantial upstream bandwidth.  Nest Cams have a much better push notification.  TelCel DSL internet would be okay for one camera. Seems like once a week someone misplaces their Iphone or Android phone.  If your iphone has an internet data connection, you can locate it by using a computer (or other portable device) with the following link:  icloud.com/find.  For Android phones use this link: android.com/find.  I highly recommend that you try that process now; time is of the essence when you misplace your phone.  And yes, I misplaced mine and had to use it to find it hiding under some clothes. thecomputerguy@usa.com

  1.  Asociación de Artes has received a request from the Los Barriles High School. School budgets took a HUGE cut in funding, so our help is needed more than ever. As requests come in, we will put it out for all to help with. The ability of Asociación de Artes to help will go much further with everyone’s help. We did great collecting paint for La Ribera, so lets continue the help! Kids are back in School April 25, and it would be great to deliver everything by then!
