  2. All media providers, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, YouTubeTV are charged by the content creators (Hollywood Studios) for the number of people that watch their content and what countries have access to those programs.  (BTW, your IP address contains your country code and general location).  That’s why those of us in Baja encounter restricted access if we try to connect directly to the stream.  A large number of us use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to virtually relocate us back to the US when we are in Baja.  That generally works until “those guys” see 10,000 computers logged in with the same IP address.  That’s when we get cut off from the same show we watched yesterday.  Your VPN provider then switches to a new IP address. Most VPN providers allow you to change virtual cities and that’s the first step if you are blocked.  You can program the VPN into your computer and sent it to the TV via HDMI cables.  If you have a smart device (Some new smart TV’s and most external boxes like Roku, Amazon Fire or Apple TV), you can “cast” it to that device then on the TV.  The most difficult to use on a regular basis is YouTubeTV.  YouTubeTV uses a variety of locations identifiers.  The most reliable way to show you YouTubeTv if the VPN fails is to use a phone that allows you to change GPS location and cast it to the TV.  Remember, the Smart TV software makers don’t always keep their software up to date.  The external box manufacturers do a better job. thecomputerguys@usa.com
