Sad News: George Apted, only 72  passed away Tuesday while riding his bike with friends in Buena Vista when he had a sudden and fatal heart attack. George and his wife Kathy have been residents of the Baja’s Resort at East Cape for 15 years. Never easy and so sad.

Rescued and now for adoption is the sweetest little chihuahua girl ever.  She was found running down the middle of the street at night and no owner was ever found.  She has had full blood work ups, ultrasound, tested for tick fever and heartworm and is totally healthy.  Midge is the quietest chihuahua you will ever meet.  4 years old and 11 lbs she will stick to you like glue and love you forever.  She is good with people, kids and other dogs and is housetrained.  Please email Kris for more information at jkshellard@hotmail.com

QUESTIONS

1.  Looking for advice please. My wife and grown children were planning on visiting Los Barilles in February. We rented a condo on VRBO and paid a 50% deposit. A few days ago our niece was tragically killed in Cancun. We feel it is not appropriate for us to travel to Mexico at this time. The VRBO owner is refusing to work with us on a mutual solution. We offered to pay for any days they couldn’t rerent the unit but they insist on keeping all our money even though we expect they will easily rent it in late Feb. Interested in other expats’ opinions. FMM is an acronym for Forma Migratoria Multiple and it is a document that allows foreign travelers of some nationalities to cross the Mexican border without a resident or temporary card holder. The FMM form card for Mexico is basically an official tourist fee that everyone who enters the country must pay. ++++++ On January 11,2023, Vagabundos found out that we are no longer able to process our Members’ FMMs online in our office. The immigration office told us that they will only be done at the border through the Immigration office that is located at the crossing you will be going through. Unfortunately this means that we will no longer have an application and you will have to stop each time. No prepaid visas, no online transactions. We will keep you updated if anything changes. If you have any experiences or road reports, please send them in. We rely on our members for information to send out to other members! Thank you for being understanding.
