Cable thieves active.  Our buried electrical line in La Capilla, south of Spa,  had several sections of copper ground wire yanked out of the conduit via the registros.  We think a car was used to pull them out, and one section of wire was left behind–which is good because we might not have known it happened otherwise, just some weird squiggly lines in the sand on the driveway.  If you have buried lines in a semi-rural place, it may be worth looking inside your registros to see what’s up. bajanueces@gmail.com

  4. Is there a word for past frustrated? Bold thieves returned to house in spite of security lights and took more parts out of trucks they broke into! Alternators, turbos for the Diesal engines, heavy copper wires that connect batteries. All this in spite of security lights and police reports. Also dumped our planters from front porch (aloe Vera). No idea what they were looking for in the planters. Until local police take it seriously this will continue everywhere! At this rate they will be able to build a whole Diesal engine.   Doubt much help in repeating in Pony Express as it will continue. Dean Ettinger.
