  1.  Home security:  Put an Apple AirTag in anything important.  The quarter sized locator can be hidden anywhere in cars, ATV’s, purses, wallets, etc.  Anytime the AirTag passes by an Iphone, the position is sent to the Apple servers then to you.  Cameras:  I use Wyze Cam Pan v3 cameras.  Add a micro SD card and you can capture video of anything that moves.  Those cams can track motion as well.  Both available on Amazon.  thecomputerguy@usa.com

BREAKINS!: 1. Security Alert!  Last night our home and garage were broken into on Calle de Amigos in Agua de La Costa.  Our green VW Passat wagon, Specialized bicycle and tires from our neighbors dump trailer that was parked in our yard were all stolen.  We do not know what else as we are in CA now.  It has been reported to the police.  Please keep your eyes out for our car!!  Thank you. 2. more break in’s by my house at Auga de Costa past the pickle ball courts. Stolen vehicles and other items in at least 3 cases. These were posted a couple of days ago. I also heard rumor there was an attempted on Looney Loop. No details on this one.

The Delegation is working with CFE to restore electricity and has assigned crew to clean up the area.   3. (One of my favorite BPE contributors, Cheryl.) It’s been a while.  But, here are some things I thought most folks would like to bring south. It’s time to start planning for the fall trip to Baja. If you have Starlink or TelMex Fiberoptic, then you should have Cat 6 cable between the modem and the WiFi router. I would make sure your router is capable of speeds above 100 Mbps (Gigabit Router). You would think I would have known better but I had an old Cat 5 cable between the two; when I switched, my speed tripled. Remember the Starlink router has limited coverage. It’s best to plan on an Ethernet adapter and a WiFi router that is a mesh router. By all means have a Dash Cam in the front window. I recommend one that has GPS builtin. When the cop stops you in Baja, you can show your speeds and stops. I’ve had a laser printer for the past three years in Baja and it works flawlessly. I had many inkjets and the ink dries out over the summer and the printer heads clog. I use black and white Brother Laser printers. If you need color, well, the color in the inkjets are superior but at a cost. I recommend Apple AirTags on just about anything of value. They work really well to track anything that is attached. The AirTag communicates with any Iphone within Bluetooth range and send location info to the Apple mothership. That info is forwarded just to you. If you find and AirTag, bring it close to your Iphone and you will get contact info for the holder. thecomputerguy@usa.com

  1.   I’m looking for a new home  (permanent or temporary ) for a dog we have been taking care of.   He was dumped a couple of months ago by our house so we have been taking care of him.   We were going to try and keep him even though a new dog was not what we were looking for, but it just isn’t working out with the 2 dogs we already have.   He is a very sweet dog but our dogs are old and grumpy and won’t accept him. All he wants to do is play and our dogs aren’t going for it.   He is a medium-sized, short-haired dog about 1 year old.   Has all his shots and has been neutered.  Very healthy and happy.   Likes to chase cows and goats out of the yard.   If at all interested we can send pics or set something up so you can see him.  I don’t want to give him to rescue and have him put in a cage.   The poor guy doesn’t deserve that.   1.   Good News. Our beloved Rexe (Lazy Daze) has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home from a significant illness. She is healing and resting. Rexe’s doctor has prescribed two weeks of quiet, low stress and rest. We know all of you miss her, but let’s give her that much needed time to heal. Starving cows plus….  Thank you to those who have donated!  We can see a small difference in the thinnest cows!  Three days ago a very bony young mare arrived with a baby that was only a few days old. The colt was on the edge of dying he was so weak. He ate hay along with his mother. After two days of food, she is nursing him. We are supplementing the Alfalfa with food for nursing mares.  They are beautiful, and lucky that they made it here.  We are  hoping for rain!  We can still use donations until there is food in the countryside!  Gracias! – barrettkimberly808@gmail.com
