CAPS FOR CANCER
We want to thank you for all your publicity and your donations for
our Caps for Cancer. Our grateful thanks to all of you in the East
Cape, who have donated large quantities of yarn. How thoughtful of
you to put yarn in your precious cargo to bring down to us. This
project has operated entirely on donations and the talent of
artisans in the East Cape. This year the project has grown. The
ladies make hats, scarves, booties and blankets for the children
with Cancer and Heart Disease. The East Cape Health Center in Los
Barriles has a large display stand of hats. Peggy the Pediatric
nurse has been handing out hats to the sick kids, who come to the
clinic for treatment.
Bags of hats have gone to the Savaterra Hospital Pediatric Oncology
Clinic in La Paz. The Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic is hosting a 5 day
open heart surgery convention this week. This program has attracted
Doctors from all over Mexico. We will be distributing our donations
at this event.
The Pediatric Clinical Director, Doctors, Staff and Parents of the
sick children are so grateful for the donation of these beautiful
pieces of art. We are so touched we are able to reach out with love
to these precious children, bravely fighting Cancer and heart
disease ...... and they were so grateful for the little surprises!
Caps for Cancer has operated entirely on the donations of yarn, and
the talent of the artisans. Should you want to join our group or
