FMMs (or tourist permits) are changing again. This time it is the design. Cost is remaining the same. If we have issued you an FMM and you are getting it stamped by November 8th, you will be fine. The date for change is November 9th. If you already have your FMM and will be getting it stamped after November 9th, you may be required to fill out the new form. Your receipt from Banamex will be good and no additional payment will be necessary. If you have any questions, just give us a call 800-727-2252.

IMMIGRATION ALERT
The new immigration law and by law is now been applied across the country:
If one has an expired FMM and presents a request for normalizing his immigration status after 60 days from the expiry date one must exit the country and come back in (the order gives 30 days to exit, if one does not exit in time one will face fine and jail and possibly loose Right to come back to Mexico.
If one comes in Mexico one must request the FMM at port of entry , if one waits to ask at any immigration office in the country one will be told to go back to point of entry and get the FMM, in other words: FMM will only be issued at point of entry.

     Los Barriles Rotary Club is one of 59 clubs in District 4100 which encompasses all of Baja and North West Mexico. We have been selected by the District as the" Most Distinguished Club" for the 2011/2012 year.

As you all know, folks are concerned about mosquitoes, and Denge fever. One of the biggest contributors to the above is our septic systems. All septic tanks are vented through the roofs of our homes. I use window screen, double it, and attach it to the vent pipes, fold it over and wire it in place. Inside the homes are protected by traps built into the plumbing pipes. Some showers in Mexico do not have the water traps built in, so when moteling it, we wet a wash cloth and put it over the shower drain.
