La Ribera at 6:00PM is our annual Amigos de Animales fundraising
dinner. The dinner features hearty bean soup, Mike's fresh salad
bar, homemade cornbread with butter and honey and a wonderful

have our exciting raffle with great prizes. It is a "Pick Your

a. All United Airlines flights operate at Terminal 1 (old
terminal) at SJD, The LAX, SFO, Denver and Chicago flights moved
to Terminal 1 to join the Houston and Newark flights about
Thanksgiving when the Terminal 2 expansion opened.
As of my last visit, USAir was still at Terminal 1, but I think
they will be moving to Terminal 2 sometime in the future. Once
that happens, United will be the only American carrier left in

have used T-Mobile in Los Barriles for the past 7 years and
never had a problem.

2) Iphone 5 customers of
Verizon can use the GSM Sim Card slot in their phones. Most
people are unaware that Verizon left the Sim Card slot on the
Iphone 5 unlocked (electronically). You can purchase a GSM Sim
Card from either Telcel or Telefonica Moviestar and use your
Iphone 5 here. You will be assigned a Mexican Cell number.
Verizon and Sprint use CDMA technology which is not compatible
with Telcel or Telefonica Moviestar. That same Iphone 5 Sim
slot is used in most countries throughout the world.
Note: CDMA is available in only 9 countries globally. GSM is
a world standard. Mexico does have a few Verizon Towers - Cabo
airport and a few in La Paz. Here is a link to Verizon coverage
