With much honor I would like to pay a tribute to the sudden passing of a very dear friend, Paul Heidtke.
Paul traveled each year from his home in Bend, Oregon to his beloved East Cape RV Resort home in Baja, always helping others all along the way. Dedicated, humorous and energetic in the International Rotary working closely with our local group, he remained very involved with East Cape Health Center, providing service to the success of the East Cape Dental Clinic Children's Program and the Bend Oregon Rotary Sponsored Diabetes Program. His work in Baja was dedicated to the betterment of health, sanitation and care for the children. He is a true inspiration to those who knew and love him. He will be missed beyond words.  Our thoughts and prayers to his wife Jacklyn, daughter Kristen, son Dustin, granddaughters, Lauren and Kate and his dog Lucy.

EAST CAPE RECYCLING BAJA NEEDS YOU!!! Have you been looking for an opportunity to volunteer for Recycling, but haven't had a chance? Just been too busy? The driver of the car that burned on the road to no where has been found.  He is a customer of mine in Bozeman, MT.  He went to LB on my recommendation and didn't get the house he rented and ended up staying in El Cardonal.  That's why I didn't know it was his car that burned.  Anyway, he got out about 10 seconds before the jeep exploded.  He is okay, but it really ruined his trip between dealing with the cops and rental car companies.  He is still waiting to hear from Hertz about it.  Thanks, Robin Lester

Spa Buena Vista Beach Resort would like to offer a huge “Thank You” to all that attended our inaugural Amigos Appreciation Day and Open House. We had a huge turnout and everyone had a great time! If you missed it or are out of town, not only did you miss some great new snacks added to our Snack Menu and dinner raffles but announcements such as our new extended Happy Hour from 4 – 6 from Nov. through April, open to everyone.
