from Chase regarding an increase in security at their Bank. The
email asked me to click on this link -
www.chase.com. When you click on that link, it really goes to -
http://www.alticon.gr//components/com_users/helpers/html/logonchase.com/Chase-Login.html.
Warning - That is not a Chase Bank web site, it's a phishing
site trying to mine your data to steal your money. This a perfect
example of why you don't click on a link in an email. If I had done
the "copy and paste", I would have gone to the Chase Web site.
The next criminal trick is "Ransom Ware". If you
receive an email from the "FBI" stating that you have been
searching, downloading or other activities that the FBI deems as
illegal, do NOT answer or respond to that email. The FBI
will not contact anyone by email. They will not ask you to go to
Walmart to buy a cash card. Similarly, Microsoft will not contact
you to tell you that you have a virus!!!
