Baja Night Sky. Jupiter, high in the early evening's
eastern sky, makes a convenient telescopic target this winter. It is
a giant ball of Hydrogen with a few other elements mixed in. Had it
been 10 times larger, gravitational pressure would have generated
enough heat at its core to fuse Hydrogen into Helium, releasing
enough energy to produce a star. When Galileo focused his improved
telescope on Jupiter in January 1610, he made a discovery that upset
the then-accepted world view that everything revolved around Earth:
his telescope revealed 4 moons circling Jupiter, changing position
by the hour. Authorities denied even the possibility, and many
refused to look through Galileo's magic tube. Even small telescopes
will reveal the dark equatorial bands, the giant Red Spot (now tan),
and the four Galilean moons, the largest of Jupiter's 67. The giant
Red Spot, a cyclonic storm bigger than earth, is in Jupiter's
southern equatorial band. With telescopes that invert images, look
in the inverted northern band. Tonight the Red Spot crosses
Jupiter's central meridian about 8:50pm, and should be visible for
about 50 minutes on either side of this time. Other transit times
are Saturday at 10:25pm, Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7:55pm, and Thursday,
Feb. 13 at 9:33pm. The four Galilean moon's can sometimes be seen

Heartworm is a parasite transmitted to your dog by carrier
mosquitoes and it is very prevalent in Mexico. It can be easily
prevented with a monthly medication. Prevention is extremely
important. If your dog already has heartworm, the treatment for
elimination of the worms can be painful, dangerous and deadly. They
use arsenic to kill the worms. Don't go through the heartbreak we
experienced with the loss of our tiny house dog. Please educate

phone stopped ringing because of coverage seems I accidentally put
on do not disturb. No complaints with calls or texts but data didn't
work without wi fi. But no zeta charges same as normal bill so no

Provecho La Paz, this Saturday, Feb 8th 10:00 - 4:00 but need
at least 2 more people to join us. A total of 4 people is needed and
they can accommodate a total of 10-12 people, so there is plenty of
room for you and friends. The cost is $960 pesos per person ($80 US,
but payment in pesos is preferred). If you have not taken a class at
Buen Provecho before, you are in for a great treat. We will make and
eat amazing food. Do you have special Mexican dish that you would
like to learn to cook? If we respond to Buen Provecho pronto, they
