DONATIONS needed ! The Palapa south of the
Elementary school in Los Barriles is a peaceful place where all
nationalities during the day and Mexicans in the evenings enjoy
exercise and Zumba classes. In the Palapa are also exercise
classes in the Summer for local children, but the wooden floor
is falling apart and jumping on it is becoming dangerous.
Please help us to collect the needed money of
6,000 Pesos to renew the floor.
There will be a
Donation box at CARMEN'S CAFE in the ExotiKite shop and at the
Saturday market at the SAMOSAS stand.

Baja Night Sky Comet Update: From
El Sargento, where sun sets behind mountains about 6pm, we
spotted the comet using binoculars Monday and Tuesday between
6:52pm and 7:08pm when it set. Bright head with tail streaming
up away from sun. Tonight it will be a fist or more below
crescent moon about same times and will set a little farther
north each night for a few weeks. Tom S.

El Triunfo Festival De Arte - Sunday,
March 17th, 2013, 9am-5pm. This is an all-day event featuring
local, national, and international artists. Displays will be
open from 9am to 3pm. Dance and music on the outdoor stage,
under the direction of La Cultura Municipal de La Paz, begins at
3pm. Invited artist, Luna Itzel, is said to have one of the most
beautiful and expressive voices on Mexico’s contemporary music
scene. Piano and poetry events in the Museo de la Musica begin
at 11am. Pianists will give 40 minute performances beginning
with guest musicians Jonathan,
Puerto Rican Pianist, at 11:30am, and
Crus Halle, Pianist
with Loyda Vazquez,
Soprano Vocalist at 4:00pm.
Christian Schleifer, Resident Pianist, will perform at
1:30pm, playing selections from Gershwin, Bernstein, and other
composers as time permits.
Attention all artists: Three meter by three meter
spaces are available for 200 pesos with your own table and
shade. Inquire about availability of tables/shade when you

I am looking to get a small/mid
sized dog to the states (Phoenix) by air. I can not find a carrier
that takes dogs in cargo and she is to big to be a carry on. I am
not able to find any good information on the best way to do this. Is
this even possible? I may not be able to travel with the dog. Can
she go alone? Is anybody willing to take her to Phoenix around the
23rd of March? If anyone has done this before or has any
